You should all be receiving your invitations soon! Maybe you're here because you already got yours! Great!
Well if you don't live in Vegas and are wondering where to stay, here are some general recommendations. We are not doing a "room block" because there's so much variety in Vegas, and different people want (and need) different things.
As of the date of this post, room prices ranged as low as $38 and as high as $329 for standard rooms. Don't forget about all the fancy suites in town. November can be a slow month for Vegas, so we hope that means you all get some great room deals!
By category, here is what we suggest:
Based on distance - closest hotels:
- Mandalay Bay
- Holiday Inn Express on S. Rainbow, or the "Las Vegas South" location
- The Orleans
Closest Strip hotels:
- Mandalay Bay
- Luxor
- Excalibur
- Tropicana
- NYNY
- MGM Grand
Off-Strip casinos:
- The Palms
- The Rio
- The Orleans
- Gold Coast
- Luxor
- Excalibur
- Circus Circus
- Riviera
- NYNY
- Days Inn at Wild Wild West
- Imperial Palace
A little further from the wedding site, but tends to be more economical than the Strip, and deep fried oreos and cheap margaritas are close by.
- El Cortez
- The Plaza (newly renovated)
- Binions
- Fremont
- Fitzgeralds
- California
- Main Street Station
Hotels without a casino:
- Platinum
- Holiday Inn Express on S. Rainbow
- Courtyard Marriot Las Vegas South
- Fairfield Inn and Suites Las Vegas South
- Hampton Inn on Tropicana
- Trump
Upscale options:
- Cosmopolitan
- Bellagio
- Wynn and Encore
- Palazzo and Venetian
- The Hotel or Four Seasons at Mandalay Bay
- City Center: Aria, Vdara, and Mandarin Oriental
- Caesars
Something different:
- The Artisan
- Rumor
- Platinum
- Hooters Casino (yes, really!)
- Hard Rock
Of course, these are only some of what Vegas offers. Hopefully this gives you ideas and gets you started. We advise checking with the hotels directly as well as using a comparison travel site like Orbitz or Expedia.
