Wedding Details

People keep asking all sorts of various wedding-related stuff, so here's some things that might help you out:

Dress code: No, there will not be bouncers. It is a wedding, but it's entirely outdoors. Cocktail attire is a good way to go, though you wouldn't look out of place in a dress shirt paired with some nice jeans.

Swimming? Yes, really, depending on weather. There is a pool and hot tub. If you'd like to join in, then bring your swimsuit and your own towel.

Where's the reception? Right next to the ceremony! The address in your invitation is for both.

When & where is all of this happening again? Uh oh! Did someone lose their invitation? It's at 5:30 pm sharp on 11/5/11 at 6480 W. Oquendo Rd. in Las Vegas. Use the amazing powers of the internet to get directions. For you Vegas-dwellers, it's just south of Russell, corner of Oquendo and Torrey Pines, between Jones and Rainbow.

Registry

We've had several people ask us about this, so here it is. We had to be different, just like everything else we're doing. Well, our registry is also non-traditional.

This website allowed us to register for items at any store. It includes links to buy the item online if you wish, but you can also buy it in person.

You can purchase any item at any store, online or offline. You do not have to purchase through that site if you don't want to. (Note: Some things we chose may only be available at a single store.)

If you buy "offline", you simply go to website and mark off any gift you picked out. That will block it off so that others do not buy it.

To buy online, click on "view or buy". It will open a top bar on your web browser, take you to the website that sells the item, and give you our shipping address.

Well if you don't live in Vegas and are wondering where to stay, here are some general recommendations. We are not doing a "room block" because there's so much variety in Vegas, and different people want (and need) different things.

As of the date of this post, room prices ranged as low as $38 and as high as $329 for standard rooms. Don't forget about all the fancy suites in town. November can be a slow month for Vegas, so we hope that means you all get some great room deals!

First, get your head out of the gutter. It stands for "Save the Dates". Second, when you get them and wonder what the heck they are, take a look at this:

It is our most favorite coffee product ever. We drink it every morning. It puts Starbucks to shame. The funny thing is we each learned of it separately. Eli may have fallen in love with April the moment he found out that they share a love for Llave.

So if you wonder why our orange and purple wedding has green and white STDs, this is why.

Get Ready For 11-5-11

That's the Big Day!

We are getting married in Las Vegas at a beautiful rental estate. It will be a quirky and elegant backyard ceremony. We will have a nice dinner, and then the fun begins!

Bring your bathing suit for the hot tub and heated swimming pool! There will also games, a Crazy Corner for photos, and many more fun activities for our 50 guests.
